Keeping Cosy at Dunglass Estate

Keeping Cosy at Dunglass Estate

At Dunglass Estate, many of our couples choose to have their wedding ceremony in our 15th-century Gothic-style church. Managed by Historic Scotland, the church is half-ruined, making it look all the more romantic and atmospheric for ceremonies all year round.

The open Gothic window arches have been opened out over the years, which allows light to flood into the building – but also means we need to make sure our guests are as cosy as can be in the autumn and winter weather.

We do this in two ways: we have beautiful, comfy tartan rugs for guests to keep themselves warm while they are watching their loved ones’ nuptials. We also have mini hot water bottles wrapped in handmade tartan fabric. This way we can always be sure that our guests are happy – even when the temperatures drop to Scottish levels!
