intimate wedding package

Intimate Weddings at Dunglass House

We understand that not everyone has their heart set on a big wedding. Nothing is more intimate than just having both your closest friends and immediate family around you on your big day. With this in mind we came up with our Intimate Wedding Package. This lets you celebrate your love for one another around those who really matter to you, and no one else.

Picture it now: you’re settled in for your two night stay at the luxurious Dunglass House and are getting ready for the big day ahead with butterflies in your stomach. You’re then surrounded in greenery as you make your way, with the rest of the bridal party, to the stunningly ruined Dunglass Church to say “I do”.

After the ceremony, you enjoy a canapé and drinks reception with your nearest and dearest. Once you’ve mingled and everyone’s congratulated you both (and wiped away their tears of joy), you all retire to Dunglass House to indulge in a delicious 3-course dinner.

Once dinner is over, you can spend the evening with your loved ones and celebrate with a few glasses of champagne, some cake and of course some music. Our talented wedding planners can organise additional entertainment for you, such as a jazz duo so you can make the most of the house’s gorgeous Drawing Room.

There’s a dedicated team on hand to ensure everything goes smoothly throughout the day, so you don’t need to worry about a thing. You can relax in the knowledge that we’ve got it all sorted for you. We can organise additional things to do as well while you’ve got one of Scotland’s most beautiful country estates all to yourself.

This special package is available from October until March. Prices start at £4,500 and we have one date left for 2016 – Saturday 15th October. For a maximum of 22 guests, you and your guests can stay in all three of the properties on Dunglass Estate: Dunglass House, Laundry Cottage and Stable Cottage. For smaller parties of 10 guests, you can have full use of the beautiful Dunglass House.

An Intimate Autumn Wedding

Following a wedding ceremony in Dunglass Church, this beautifully intimate autumn wedding celebration took place in Dunglass House.

Gwynneth and and Paul’s wedding celebration began with the groom’s reception in the Living Room, with canapés in the Drawing Room after the ceremony.

Guests then sat down in the conservatory to a 3-course wedding breakfast, with panoramic views of the lush green garden. The menu was created by Hickory using local produce, including Highland beef and a tangy Scottish brie.

Their wedding cake was displayed in the Dunglass entrance hall, and was beautifully decorated with rich autumnal colours.

It was a real pleasure to host such a fantastic wedding with such warm and friendly guests. We wish the couple every happiness for their future lives together.

Intimate Wedding Celebration of William & Boshra

Following a blessing ceremony in Dunglass Church, this beautifully intimate wedding celebration took place in Dunglass House. William & Boshra’s wedding celebration expressed the versatility of Dunglass House as a small wedding venue.

Their wedding cake was displayed in the Dunglass entrance hall where the Bride and Groom cut the cake before moving to the conservatory, which small wedding venuehad been turned into a dance floor, for their first dance.

The room was decorated in purple and silver colours and each guest received a Yankie Candle as a favour. The Dunglass House Dining room was opened up to the conservatory to accommodate dining for their 24 guests.

The couple chose starters of roasted Hoisin duck with spiced plum compute, duck rillettes and sesame croutons  and warm filo tartlet of Scottish brie and sundried tomatoes with a basil pesto dressing. The main course was Scottish borders rump of lamb with pistachio crumb, parmentier potatoes, roasted carrots, wilted greens and baby beet root pan jus.

Dessert was a choice of white and dark chocolate terrine with pistachio tuille and wild berry jelly or mango cheesecake with coconut sorbet and mango jus.

The Mother of the Groom supplied the wedding cake. The florist was Linden Flowers and photography was Susan from Clear Photography.

We wish the couple every happiness in their lives together.
