Historic Scotland’s 15th-century Gothic church is set in the heart of the Estate and is one of the finest examples of its period and design in Scotland.
Cared for by Historic Scotland, the beautiful warm, grey stone resonates with tales of times gone by, and the half-ruined nature of this utterly unique church makes it all the more atmospheric. Perfect, therefore, for the most romantic of ceremonies*.
The fine Gothic window arches have been opened out over the years, allowing light to flood into the building, creating the perfect blank canvas: imagine petals on the floor, fabrics, flowers and foliage suspended and draped – couples have an unusual level of freedom to decorate and enhance the church to suit their style.
Dramatic, romantic and unlike any other venue, Dunglass Church is a place where dreams are fulfilled and memories made.
* Please note: Both religious and civil ceremonies can be held in Dunglass Church according to the couple’s choice. Civil ceremonies can be held in the marquee at selected times of the year or in the house or conservatory for smaller weddings.
